Kaysee sits in a brown leather chair, surrounded by tattooing supply cabinets in the background. She smiles upward toward the camera.

Even if it’s not your first tattoo, seeing a new artist can be intimidating. That’s why I’ve put together a few common questions and answers from clients, so you know what to expect in advance.

Pricing & Booking Info:

  • I offer two booking options with a flat rate:

    Half-day (4-hour session) – $750.00

    Full day (6-hour session) – $1,000.00

    Typically, I book clients beginning at 12PM, meaning that a full-day session would run from 12PM – 6PM, and a half-day session would run from 12PM – 4PM

  • I am an appointment only artist, which means that when my books open, I will have you fill out the inquiry form found on this website. An inquiry is a request for an appointment that helps us know if we’re a good fit for working together, but unfortunately not a guarantee.

If we are a good fit and our availabilities match, I’ll send you a confirmation email, a booking link, and deposit link to secure your spot.

You can also add yourself to a waitlist if my books are not open yet by filling out the inquiry form!

  • There are a lot of reasons why I can’t guarantee appointments, even if you submit an inquiry. Most of the time I just don’t have the availability. Sometimes the design or style falls outside of my skill set. Other times, I don’t feel comfortable charging my flat rates for the piece if it’s a smaller size and won’t take a half day or more.

However, if you have an idea for a few small tattoos, we can schedule them all at once, so you can get the most out of the booking rate!

  • Please follow me on Instagram @kayseeshuster to stay updated on when my books will be opening next!

  • Cancelling or rescheduling with less than a week’s notice will forfeit your deposit. You will be able to reschedule by putting down a replacement deposit.

With that said, I know that life happens, and I’m understanding that unavoidable situations like health issues, financial issues, car problems, and more happen. Please don’t hesitate to let me know if something comes up.

The Appointment Process:

  • Make sure to bring plenty of water and a sugary snack or beverage. I always suggest having a big breakfast. Try not to drink an excess of alcohol the night before or at all on the day of the appointment. Get a good night’s sleep and wear comfortable clothes. Depending on where the tattoo will be located, try to dress accordingly, so it’s easy for me to reach without staining your clothing!

  • Because I put a lot of time and effort into all my designs, I typically am not able to show clients their design until the morning of the appointment. However, we can always make small changes before we tattoo. Any small changes made within the first 30 minutes of your appointment are free. Continued changes throughout your appointment may increase the cost of your tattoo. Large changes – such as a full change of concept – will require us to reschedule your appointment.

If you would like to see your tattoo in advance, I can sometimes draw your design up to a week before our appointment for an additional $50 fee, allowing me to put aside the extra time to draw it. Please let me know if you would prefer this option in your inquiry submission.

  • I can do coverups, within reason. In order to make that determination, I would need a photo of the tattoo, the area around it, and the idea you want it covered with. I may suggest a few laser-removal sessions prior to the coverup. Unfortunately, there may be reasons that I’m unable to cover the tattoo, which I will share with you.

  • I am all for numbing creams! Please let me know if you’re planning on pre-numbing, so I can recommend brands and how to apply them.
