Kaysee Shuster Tattoos is located in Concord, New Hampshire and specializes in custom blackwork illustrative tattoos with an edge.

Hi, I’m Kaysee (she/they)!

I started my journey in Seymour, CT, where I grew up. I was always an artsy kid, playing music, singing, and drawing. My love of nature inspired me to go to college with a major in biology, but my creative side won out. I took the risk and dropped out to pursue my passion for art, and I’ve been tattooing ever since.

For me, creative expression is at the heart of tattooing. I feel so honored that I get to spend my time helping other people express themselves. Feeling comfortable in your own skin and having art that you’re proud to show others is empowering – and the reason I do what I do!

This image shows an example of Kaysee's art, a blackwork illustrative lady head portrait with snakes wrapped in her hair.

I specialize in blackwork illustrative tattoos, with a focus on botanicals and portraits full of bold contrast, high detail, dot work, and stippling. If you’re looking for a tattoo inspired by nature or something a little fun and spooky, you’re in the right place.

Getting a tattoo can be a highly personal – and sometimes intimidating – experience. That’s why my priority is creating a warm, safe, and professional environment where you feel comfortable and know exactly what to expect when we work together:

  • You can feel confident that your tattoo will be completely customized for you and you alone. Not only do I create a custom piece of art, but I tailor it to your personality and unique body shape and size. No two clients will ever receive the same design from me!

  • I work quickly and have a light hand, so my clients tend to be able to sit for longer sessions with me.

  • I am flexible with your ideas, making sure your voice is heard in the process, so I’m creating a piece we can both be proud of.

  • My space is professional, clean, inclusive, and LGBTQIA+ affirming. Everyone is welcome in my chair!

Maybe you’re ready to reach out, but you’re wondering what to expect when you click on an inquiry button. Here’s a sneak-peek of my process:

I am an appointment-only artist, meaning I book within specific windows of time to make sure I can save space throughout the year for new clients and designs. If my books are closed, you can still reach out to join my waitlist!

The best way to know when my books are opening is to follow my Instagram account @kayseeshuster. When my books are open, you’ll typically have a 12-to-48-hour window to submit an inquiry, which is a request – but not a guarantee – for an appointment.

Once I’ve reviewed the inquiries, I’ll reach out to let you know if it sounds like we’re a good fit and/or have matching availability. From there, I’ll send you a link to schedule your appointment and put down a deposit.

Check out my FAQs page for more information about my booking process, pricing, and more!
